KIDDEL BAY COTTAGE - KIDDEL BAY
Truly a rare find with some of St. John's best snorkeling a short walk away... Enjoy unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea and surrounding National Park Lands at Kiddel Bay Cottage. For those who love off the beaten path locations where nature can be savored. No road noise - no light pollution - canopy of millions of stars at night - and the water can be heard from all rooms.

Kiddel Bay Cottage has two separate levels, perfect for two families wanting space to spread out or small groups of friends -- plenty of space indoors and out. Each level has a full kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, two full baths and lounge deck with incredible views. Each have their own separate entrances, but easily accessed by exterior steps.

For sleeping arrangements, the upper level has a spacious king bedroom and a queen bedroom. The lower level has a queen bedroom and a bedroom with 2 twins — the two twin beds may be combined into a King upon request. All bedrooms have access to exterior deck space and amazing views of Kiddel Bay.

Kiddel Bay Cottage is great place to relax, be inspired, and recharge!

*For 1-4 guests you will have the choice of the upper or lower level based on bedroom type preferences. While the other level will be not be accessible, you are ensured complete privacy.

*For 5-8 guests you will have access to the entire Cottage, both levels.

**If you are a group of 1-4 guests and would like to have access to both levels to enjoy all bedrooms, please inquire about this pricing option.

The house at Kiddel Bay is great

The house at Kiddel Bay is great. The seclusion and view were definitely our favorite parts. The deer in the yard were an amazing surprise, and the hermit crabs kept our 3 boys entertained for many hours. The rocky beach at Kiddel Bay was a bit disappointing (bring water shoes with rubber soles) , but the snorkeling there was very good. Once again the seclusion was a big positive about this location. The kids were able to play outside without me worrying that they were annoying close neighbors. The nearness to Salt Pond beach is another huge positive. The house itself is good. Everything you need to cook meals is there (just bring food). The beds are very comfortable, and the view when you wake up is just gorgeous. The 4 bathrooms are a bonus. The air conditioners work almost too well! Bring your bugspray, the mosquitos and sand fleas (gnats, flies) are vicious. I mean seriously healthy biters! This goes for the whole island, not just Kiddel Bay. We are going to be recovering from insects for a while. I suggest booking your charters and excursions out of Coral Bay when possible because the drive to Cruz Bay is not short.

Thank you Carla, for your review! This is very helpful to future guests. The beach at Kiddel Bay is a pebble beach but it has some of the islands best snorkeling. I am glad you enjoyed that. Salt Pond is another nearby favorite which has sand and we agree is a huge positive! The bugs can get vicious at times ~ part of island life. Bug spray is a great suggestion as well as being away from the water side around dawn and dusk. We are so happy you and your family enjoyed your time at Kiddel Bay Cottage and the deer, crabs, and other wildlife surrounding it. We loved having you as guests and hope to hear from you again soon!

Amazing getaway!

Kiddel Bay Cottage was the perfect getaway for my family. We had three adults and four teenagers, so the upper and lower sections of the house were perfect. We snorkeled all over the island and the snorkeling at Kiddel Bay was by far the best. The house was clean, well maintained and had everything else needed. I highly recommend a stay here and we hope to visit again very soon!

Beautiful

Its so much better in person. I wanted to get away from everything including people, and this was the perfect choice. Coffee on the upper balcony with the ocean sounds and breeze .... every day should start this way!

Perfect spot

This is an amazing location. A short walk to an amazing pebble beach which hardly anyone else goes to. It is a great house and the management is very responsive. We will be back. The only issue is the water pressure which is quite low and makes showers a very slow process.

We loved our stay at Kiddel Bay Cottage

We loved our stay at Kiddel Bay Cottage. What an amazing view! We were two couples and rented out the upper level which worked perfectly. You definitely need a jeep for getting up the road to the cottage, but once there you feel you are all alone. Salt Pond bay (which is our favorite beach) in only a couple minutes away and Coral Bay is about a 15 minute drive and offers enough restaurants to get you through the week. The cottage has a view of the ocean from all rooms and a fantastic deck. Kitchen is well stocked. Definitely rent snorkel gear as you are sure to see many turtles, stingrays, fish and we even encountered an adorable octopus when only knee deep in the water. We love St John and will definitely be back to Kiddel Bay Cottage!

Perfect location if you truly want to get away from it all!

We loved Kiddel Bay Cottage! We traveled as two couples and rented the upper level which worked out perfectly. Only minutes to Salt Pond Bay (our favorite). About a 15 minutes drive to Coral Bay where you will find provisions and enough restaurants to get you through the week. This is the quiet.....you feel completely alone.....end of the island. Definitely need a jeep to get up the road to the house. Spectacular view and well equipped house. Rent snorkel gear as the snorkeling on St John is awesome.

Wonderful visit in Kiddel Bay!

This is a really special house, and I can't say enough great things about the team at Antares Property Management who helped our family tremendously when some of our travel logistics went awry. The house itself is very comfortable. We used the top and bottom floors, and it was nice to be able to spread out a bit for some separate time, but there was also plenty of room for all of us to gather for meals, etc. That said, there isn't a great indoor solution for a large group to gather for a meal; the largest tables are outside, so when if rains, or is otherwise uncomfortable outside, that becomes an issue. Also, only the downstairs part of the house has a dishwasher, so we blended the plates from top and bottom together a few times to make use of that. The location is remote, which we found wonderful. The nighttime sky and sounds were spectacular; it was fun to see cruise ships going by; and we could see sunrise and sunset from our decks. The walk down to the beach was steep in places, but there was also a road, and we drove the older members of our family down to Kiddel Bay because the path was a little too difficult for one of them. The beach at Kiddle Bay is rocky and beautiful, but perhaps challenging to get in and out of with bare feet. You will find a way, however, because the water is freakishly clear there. A nice morning walk down the road gets you also to the deserted Grootpan Bay which is also rocky but amazing. And driving a very short distance on the paved road gets you to Salt Pond Bay where the snorkeling is also fantastic. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfection in Paradise

Kiddle Bay Cottage went above and beyond our expectations. Kelsey was great at answering my questions and meeting up upon our arrival was super smooth. She made herself available for any questions or concerns during the week, but we had none! Waking up to a private beach with amazing snorkeling and breathtaking views. Falling asleep to the sounds of the waves and the night critters. With air conditioning in every bedroom, even uncomfortable nights were perfect in Kiddle Bay. The kitchen was just right for meal prep for our family of six. Parking was much easier than other homes on the island and with the sandy beaches of Salt Pond Bay just done the road, you barely have to drive if you don’t want to! We won’t even look around the next time we come to St. John; Kiddle Bay Cottage is the obvious choice!
